Heather Bailey is a playful and inventive designer of all things happy. With a B.A. in Apparel Design and a knack for style, Heather has run successful businesses in children's and women's accessories, as well as art and illustration. Her designs have been eagerly snatched up by celebrities and offered by many of the world's most exclusive stores including Fred Segal, Henri Bendel, and Bloomingdales, as well as high-end boutiques in Japan, Hong Kong, and Paris. Fresh and imaginative, Heather's designs have been featured in top fashion magazines, such as InStyle, Glamour, Seventeen, and Mademoiselle, as well as popular lifestyle magazines such as Country Living, and Better Homes and Gardens. Her work has also been showcased by the International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA) in recognition of her artistry and superior construction techniques. Creative expression is one of the great joys of Heather's life. As a young mother of two with a flourishing design business, her hands are never still. Designing for different mediums, Heather has honed a smart and lively aesthetic that infuses every aspect of her art. Heather is continually sketching fresh designs and dreaming up new projects and patterns. She records her creative life on her weblog, which attracts over 100,000 visits every month. Heather's flair for art and color have engaged an audience with style-setters from around the world. Freshcut™, Heather's all-original debut collection for Free Spirit Fabric, demonstrates her talent for modern design, as well as her love for vintage nostalgia, and has made a worldwide splash since its release in early 2007.
