Aimee Griffin

Aimee started quilting in 1998 after being encouraged by her husband to find a hobby. Through her daughter’s school she met a friend who taught her the ”how to“ of quilting. She quickly realized that making quilts was a great way of handing memories down to her kids. Each quilt tells a story about her kids and what they loved. Everyone in her family got a quilt that year.
Many quilts and classes later, when asked to teach at her friends quilt shop, Aimee didn’t have to think twice. She has taught quilting for five years and is well known for her ability to change teaching styles according to her students. Experience is a great teacher - the more you do the more you’ll learn. This has been her philosophy in learning any new technique.

In 2006, Aimee and her family moved from California to North Carolina and soon after opened Overall Quilter. The shop is well known for its great atmosphere and inspiring quilts. From pin cushions to skirts to quilts, you’ll find it all at the Overall Quilter.
