mini-workshop: "Basics of Repousse" (embossing on metal)

Students will learn how easy it is to emboss with Ten Seconds Studio's tools using their new colors of metals and molds. Students will create their very own 8 x 10 INSPIRE sign that can be framed or used as the front of a book or canvas. This sign is made from MDF and can be drilled with holes for hanging. Students who sign up for this class will receive a free mold in class ($14.00 value)

Cheryl Darrow started Ten Seconds Studio in 2004.  The following year she lured her daughter, Megan, from her corporate job to join her in creating a company that sells “cool tools for cool people”.  Since then, these two dynamic women, have created a company that not only sells tools but also various types of molds, metal and consumable products.  They have written a project book “Metal Effects” and a technique DVD/CD “The A – Z of Metal Works”.

In 2008, they started producing Taco Tuesday Videos shown on their website.  A new technique or project driven video is released every Tuesday and consumers can watch past videos online. These videos have elevated Ten Seconds Studio to be the front-runner in the crafting world of creative and fun videos that are free. Both women spend a lot of time traveling around the country teaching classes and workshops to people of all ages so that they too may “metalize their worlds”.

In the summer of 2009 Ten Seconds Studio will be offering retreats at their “BRAfree Weekend” located at a home nestled in a country setting in Texas.
