mini-workshop : "Vintage Inspired 4x4 Canvas Collage"

Using sticky back canvas we will hand wrap nine 1"x1" canvases to collage on a 4"x4" canvas. After they've been painted in your choice color palette we will dress the inchie canvases in german scrap, ephemera and flea market bits. No two projects will be the same! A pretty billowy bow wrapped around the perimeter of your large canvas will finish the project.

Being the oldest daughter of an artist, art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It wasn't until after the birth of my second child did I begin teaching workshops locally. I enjoy sharing the creative process with others as well as being with like minded artists.
I'm a California native and married mother to three small children. I'm a Controller by day and a crafter after dinner & bath time. I teach bi-monthly workshops in my home studio and at various bay area locations. My favorite projects are usually paper based but I enjoy canvas, stitching, paper dolls and as of recent, sewing. Each month I scour an 800 vendor antique flea market for items to incorporate into my art and class kits. Last year I began submitting my work to magazines and I've been steadily published since. My goals for 2010 include teaching at Inspired (check!) and a book of vintage inspired how-to art projects.
