Tejae Floyde

Tejae (pronounced tee-jay) is a multi media artist. Her art background includes oil painting, silverwork, paper arts and polymer clay.

Tejae comments, "Polymer clay is my favorite medium because it can be easily sculpted, made to resemble any material and it holds texture and color well. I love to experiment and try new things with it."

Her polymer clay encased hearts have been featured on Polymer Clay Daily (www.polymerclaydaily.com). Her work has also been published in Somerset Studio magazine, PolymerCafe magazine and "400 Polymer Clay Designs" by Lark Books

Tejae says, "I enjoy teaching because it allows me to share my excitement of creating with others. It's an opportunity to take students along with me on this joyful adventure, open their eyes to something new, allow them to play in a safe enviroment and walk away with a little treasure."

Tejae lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with husband Tim. Their son, Tim Jr., also living in Colorado Springs, is attending his first year at UCCS. When she's not spending time with her family or in her studio, you can find her in her flower gardens.
